Dental Implants Deliver
Life-Changing Benefits

Living with missing teeth poses functional and aesthetic challenges, impacting your ability to eat comfortably and diminishing self-confidence. Traditional solutions like dentures may bring temporary relief but often come with discomfort and maintenance issues.

Dental implants offer a transformative solution by providing stability, functionality, and natural aesthetics. By integrating with the jawbone, implants address the root causes of tooth loss, allowing you to regain a confident smile and enjoy life without the limitations of missing teeth.

What are Dental Implants?

A dental implant has three components that work together to replace a missing or failing tooth. The biocompatible titanium implant post is surgically placed in your jawbone. A small titanium piece called an abutment is placed on or built into the top of the implant and connects to the restorative dental crown.

Dental implants are the most versatile option because they support a single crown, bridge, or full arch prosthesis. After dental implants integrate with your jawbone and the prosthesis is placed, you can eat, smile, talk, and laugh with newfound confidence!

Our Dental Implant Options

Single Implants

A single dental implant in Chicago, IL, consists of a post, abutment, and crown that replace a missing natural tooth. Once the implant post-fuses with the underlying bone, it assumes the role of the missing tooth root to keep the bone healthy.

Dental Bridges

With traditional bridges, two healthy teeth must be modified and crowned on each side of the missing tooth or teeth. Implant-supported bridges are self-supporting. Therefore, they don’t rely on or require modification of adjacent teeth. An implant-supported bridge replaces the two outermost missing teeth with dental implants supporting a prosthetic tooth between them.

Denture Example Model

Implant Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures provide far greater stability than traditional dentures and can be designed as removable or fixed, depending on your preference. Overdentures placed on top of implants make it easier to eat a balanced diet while improving speech, minimizing discomfort, and eliminating the need for messy denture adhesives.

Full Mouth Dental Implants

All-on-4 full mouth dental implants offer a life-changing, streamlined solution for extensive tooth loss. The All-on-4 technique involves fewer implants and is less invasive than traditional ones. Most patients don’t need bone grafting because the implants are strategically angled to optimize existing bone. With proper care, All-on-4 full mouth dental implants offer a durable, fully functional, and natural-looking smile that can last a lifetime.

Our Personalized Dental Implant Process

Our dental implant process is personalized to meet your oral health needs, smile goals, and budget. When you entrust your smile to Chicago Dental Implant Solutions, you’ll know what to expect every step to a renewed smile, from what surgery involves to the cost and healing process.

1

Consult and Planning

The first step is an in-depth consultation with one of our prosthodontists to determine the condition of your jawbone and whether you’re a candidate for dental implants. The initial evaluation includes discussing your dental and medical history, digital X-rays, and a cone-beam computed tomography scan to analyze your bone structure, nerve tissue, and sinus cavities. At this visit, we’ll also provide an accurate cost estimate.

2

Implant Procedure

We offer IV sedation in addition to local anesthetics to ensure your ultimate comfort. After sedation has taken effect, we carefully drill small holes in your gums and place the implant posts in predetermined locations with the strongest bone density to provide maximum support. If you get full mouth dental implants in Chicago, IL, you’ll receive a temporary prosthesis while your implant sites heal.

3

Healing and Final Restorations

Some discomfort, bleeding, swelling, and bruising are common after implant surgery. Many patients manage pain with over-the-counter pain relievers, but we can prescribe pain medication if needed. Natural bone cells fuse with the implant over three to six months as your body heals.

This process is called osseointegration because dental implants are the most robust and most durable tooth replacement solution. After healing is complete, the prosthesis is securely attached to the abutment. The result is a beautiful new smile that looks, feels, and functions like healthy, natural teeth!
